Medicare supplement Plan G is becoming the most popular Medicare supplement plan because it offers identical coverage to Plan F with the exception of the Part B deductible of $198 in 2020.
Plan G can also be a more cost effective alternative to Plan F.
Unlike Plan F, Plan G is always underwritten (Except Open Enrollment) and approval depends on your current health conditions and which insurance company you purchase your Medigap insurance through.
Since it is always underwritten (Except Open Enrollment), Plan G can sometimes be more affordable because the monthly premium tends to be less expensive when the overall health of a particular risk pool is better than average.
